The Outsider
festival

My first pop at being a VJ and roadie at a music festival, helping out Fred Deakin at The Outsider festival just outside Aviemore, Scotland, at the end of June 2007.
I looked after the visuals having a first go with Arkaos while Fred span The Wheel of Destiny during his
set. A riff on the Wheel of Fortune Fred has performed for years during his sets, it spins every twenty minutes or so to determine what music to play next - each segment representing a different genre of music (from punk to Hi-NRG to cheesy pop to mashups to country to ska and so on). Fred must play whatever the wheel dictates, come what may.
The animated visuals were produced by the ever-talented folk at Airside, which made my button-pressing and editing job a pleasure. Below are a few stills and a short movie of the footage I got to have lots of fun with.
