Teaching: Drawing PGCE (teacher training) December 2003
Below is a panoramic photo of a wall-sized 'kinetic drawing' after I took a one-hour lesson with A-level students (aged 17 and 18). Working in pairs, the students were instructed to draw the movements of their partner dancing to a piece of music. This lesson was intended as a quick 'loosen up' excercise before the start of their final exam preparation work.
As part of the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Goldsmiths College, University of London, I taught Art and Design full time for a year in two high schools: this was during a two-month placement at Oxted School in Surrey, just outside London.
