Teaching: Graphic Design
PGCE (teacher training) March 2004
I set this project for a class of 15 year-olds. Below is a Fernand Léger-inspired typeface, made by identifying and cutting out letterforms within his paintings.
The class were then required to design and make typographic posters advertising an imaginary Fernand Léger exhibition using a basic four-colour printing process.
As part of the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Goldsmiths College, University of London, I taught Art and Design full time for a year in two high schools: this was during a four-month placement at Kemnal
Technology College in Sidcup, just outside London.
