THIS IS DEAD GOOD

A very occasional DJ set with one rule —
the music is restricted to artists who have died during the previous year.

What is This Is Dead Good?

Matt Brown (1980– ) very occasionally plays records for his friends in and around London. He had the idea for This Is Dead Good in 2006 when he was playing records in the bar at the Royal College of Art.

The idea behind This Is Dead Good is that the DJ set is restricted to artists who have died during the previous year.

Matt set up this page to nurture his now unhealthy interest in music obituaries, to help collect tunes for the next set somewhere sometime soon, and to try his hand at a mixtape or two.

He reads The Guardian's Music Obituaries first thing every morning and keeps up with the excellent Celebrity Death Beeper.
